Kiddush Cup

Friday evening is the time when Shabbat comes in. All family members gather around the table and a Shabbat
service is held - the Kiddush. Kiddush is the service that sanctifies the Shabbat. While blessing is recited, a wine is
poured into a cup. Following recitation of blessings, each member of the family drinks from the Kiddush cup.

According to Jewish law any cup will do, even the simplest one. However, to honor the Shabbat, a goblet is usually
used. This artistically decorated goblet is commonly known as a Kiddush Cup.  In recent years, a Kiddush cup has
become a widely spread judaica item.

Kiddish cups make popular gifts for brit, Bar or Bat mitzvah and Jewish wedding.

Here are several Kiddush Cups designed by leading Israeli Judaica artists. This beautiful designs include Jewish
motifs in cheery colors to glorify Shabbat.
